The Tropicats are an entity created by can player Mark Mireles with a fluid lineup. However, for this record The Tropicats are: Doug Deforest, Ken Reynolds, Allen Huff, Rayvn Dixon, James Marshall, Chuck Payne, and Mark Mireles.

This CD encompasses a variety of styles all focusing toward a breezy island sound reiforced by the virtuosity of steel drum player Mark Mireles. This is not standard island music however, it is a mixture of jazz, fusion, ballad, rock and country all blended into a fun sound that is rare. Everyone came into the studio and donated their time and ideas to have fun and make something new. Everyone is proud of this CD and hope to follow soon with another.
